Halloween Highlights

Have you planned multiple costumes for this year’s Halloween festivities? Because there are quite a few of them throughout Door County!

We’ve compiled a few Halloween highlights taking place, but encourage you to check our Events Calendar for more Halloween-inspired events.

Friday, Oct. 25

• Boo Bash at Y!

The Door County YMCA invites families and friends to the annual “Boo Bash” at the Door County YMCA Sturgeon Bay Center from 6 pm – 8 pm. Prizes for the best dressed. Enjoy a magician, carnival games, face painting, refreshments, a haunted pool, inflatable bouncer, raffle and prizes.

Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26

• Jack O’ Lantern Days, Fish Creek.

This is a hometown Halloween celebration full of family friendly activities. Highlights include pumpkin carving, mask making, a Haunted Halloween Parade, trick or treating and costume parties for dogs, kids and adults.

Saturday, Oct. 26

• Thrills on Third, Sturgeon Bay

This even includes free pumpkin painting from 9 – 11 am at the Artists Guild; a costume parade on Third Avenue from 1 – 3 pm; complimentary costume portraits at Avenson Photography from 1 – 3 pm; trick-or-treating on Third Avenue from 2 – 3 pm.

Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 26 and 27

• Algoma’s 7th Annual Magical Storyland/Halloween Walk

Visit storybook characters. There are also “scary” places to visit for the more brave participants. The Halloween walk is at the Algoma High School from 10 am – 4 pm both days.

Sunday, Oct. 27

• Halloween Safe Walk, Egg Harbor

Trick-or-Treating from 2 – 4 pm.

Thursday, Oct. 31

• Baileys Harbor Halloween Party, Baileys Harbor Town Hall

Games, a costume contest (6:30 pm), and the Spooky Café will take place from 5 – 7 pm. Trick or Treat at area businesses from 4 – 6 pm.

• Washington Island Halloween Party and Trunk or Treating

A celebration at Washington Island School Commons for children, grades K – 8. Children come in their costumes at 3 pm. At 4 pm children may go to the Trunk or Treating event until 4:30 pm when trick or treating begins.
