Hands-On Exhibit

“Seven” is part of Bethany Kirwen’s Words philosophical art exhibit featured at Hope Church Gallery through April 24.

Hope Church Gallery features a philosophical art statement, Words, by Bethany Kirwen, March 1 through April 24.

Words will challenge people to think about the impact words have in their everyday lives. In this exhibit, colorful and unique visuals accompanied by personal journal entries and observational statements guide the viewer toward the artist’s intentions and encouragements, welcoming people to actively participate in a hands-on approach. “So often, we are not allowed to physically touch an exhibit. This is all about putting yourself into it,” Kirwen said.

Kirwen works from her home studio in Sturgeon Bay and is a member artist at Greco Gallery, 24 N. 3rd Ave., Sturgeon Bay, and the Door County Art League Gallery located at the Top of the Hill Shops in Fish Creek, May 23-Oct. 11. Visit bethanykirwen.com, for more information.

An artist reception will be held midway through the exhibit on March 29, 1-3 pm, at Hope Church Gallery, located at Hope United Church of Christ, 141 S. 12th Ave., Sturgeon Bay. All are welcome. Exhibit hours are 9 am to 1 pm Monday through Friday, Sunday 9 am to 2 pm through April 24. Call 920.743.2701 for more information.
