Hans Gruber and the Die Hards Perform at Door County Brewing Co. Oct. 5

Austin, Texas-based punk band, Hans Gruber and the Die Hards, will stop by Baileys Harbor as a part of their “This Flat Earth!” tour. Known for their energetic performances, the band will bring their paranoia-fueled brand of ska-punk to the Door County Brewing Co. Taproom & Music Hall on Oct. 5 at 8 pm.

The band includes Door County native Hans Emanuelson who had previously worked together with the brewery to write a song for the release of their first beer, the Polka King Porter, in honor of Door County icon Freddie Kodanko. Local rock trio Elastik Waste Banned from Sturgeon Bay will open the show.

This past year saw the release of Hans Gruber and the Die Hards’ first full length record. The 14-song album displays some of the band’s diverse influences. The band has shown no signs of slowing down this year with their first official SXSW appearance as well as an upcoming performance at The Fest in Gainesville, Fla.
