Happening at Artists Guild

Open studio time is available on Mondays and Thursdays at the Artists Guild in Sturgeon Bay. From 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, space is open for individuals or groups for $20/day or buy four days and get a fifth for free.

Every Friday, Bottle & Brush is held 6:15 – 8:15 pm. Participants bring friends and favorite beverage/snacks; Artists Guild supplies all art materials. Even if you’ve never used a paintbrush, you’ll enjoy an evening of canvas painting and complete a work of art in this class led by local artist Jen Aldrich. The cost is $35 per person. Life Drawing Guild offers artists the opportunity to draw from the human figure on Tuesdays from 6:15 to 8:15 pm. The cost is $40/four-week February session, or $20 drop in.

March’s Winter Youth Art Program theme “mixed-media fantasy.” Intended for ages 7-12, these classes focus on a specific theme while each week a different art form will be explored. Classes are held four consecutive Saturdays in February from 10 to 11:30 am for $40, or $25 for single sessions. All materials included.

March 15 from 1 – 3 pm, Art Fundaments will explore ‘The Foundation of Acrylics.’ Learn the history of the medium and explore acrylic painting techniques in this hands-on class. $30 per student, all materials included.

March 22 from 1 – 3 pm, the First Steps Series will host ‘Acrylics.’ This class if for those who are familiar with acrylics but interested in furthering their skills. $30 per student, small material list available – call for details.
