Harborettes to Hold Day of Mending Oct. 26

The Harborettes Home Community Education Club (HHCEC) will sponsor a Day of Mending as a community-service project Oct. 26, 9 am – 1 pm, at the Bertschinger Community Center in Egg Harbor. A bake sale, also held 9 am to 1 pm, will help with the expenses of HHCEC projects.

Take clothing or linens that need mending, and HHCEC members will sew on buttons, repair seams or patch items. (No zippers, please.) Members are also looking for fabric to use to make lap blankets and walker bags for residents of local nursing homes. If you have any material to donate, take it to the Day of Mending or call Char Mueller at 823.2062.
