Hardy Gallery Announces Online Holiday Auction

The Hardy Gallery announced that the items for the 2011 Hardy Holiday Auction are now available for viewing online. The items are available for bidding and purchase through the Hardy’s own eBay® store, which can be located by visiting eBay® directly and searching for the Hardy Gallery or by visiting the Hardy’s website and clicking on the “take me to the auction” link.

The Holiday Auction features fine art and fine craft from some of Door County’s best-loved artists as well as jewelry and accessories, classes and artistic opportunities, spa and golf packages, lodging and dining certificates, gourmet packages and much more. All proceeds will assist the Hardy, working to continue its mission of supporting a growing Door County art community.

“We’re especially excited about this year’s auction,” said Elizabeth Meissner-Gigstead, executive director of the Hardy Gallery. “We have nearly 50 items for this year’s auction.” The items will also be available for viewing in-person at the Hardy’s year-round office located in the Svalhus adjacent to the Ephraim Historical Foundation on Anderson Lane. Winter office hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 am – 5 pm.

The auction will close on Dec. 14, with staggered ending times for individual items. A “Buy it Now” option is also available for all auction items, though some will have a reserve that must be met in order for the bid to be accepted. Shipping is not included in the price of the items and arrangements will need to be made to have purchased items either shipped or picked up.
