Hardy Gallery Hosts Juried Exhibit, Community Project

The Hardy Gallery kicks off the 2022 season with its 60th annual Wall-to-Wall Juried Exhibit, on view May 28 – July 10. Submissions will take place in person on May 20-21, 10 am – 5 pm. All entries submitted will be juried to determine five financial awards that total $1,550 and three honorable mention awards.
Awards include, Francis Hardy Legacy Best in Show Award ($500), second place ($400), third place ($300), the Julia Van Roo Bresnahan Artistic Achievement Award ($200) and People’s Choice Award ($150). All media is accepted including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, ceramics, mixed media and more. A $35 non-refundable entry fee is required, artists ages 18 years of age or older are invited to submit one 2-dimensional and one 3-dimensional piece. This year’s judge is contemporary photographer Terri Warpinski, owner of newArtSpace, an artist-driven exhibition space in DePere Wisconsin. The Hardy’s Community Mosaic Project is also underway. Community members can contribute a decorated canvas, provided for free by the Artist’s Guild. Canvases are due June 26 with the mosaic being unveiled July 16.
Canvases will be available for pick up at The Hardy and Artist’s Guild starting May 28, and once completed, can be brought back to either distribution point.
