Hardy Gallery Receives $2,300 Wisconsin Arts Board Grant

The Hardy Gallery was again the recipient of the Creation and Presentation Grant awarded by the Wisconsin Arts Board, an award the gallery receives every year. The Creation and Presentation grant provides artistic program and operational support to established nonprofit arts organizations whose primary mission is to create or present ongoing arts programming that makes a significant local, regional, or statewide impact on the cultural life of Wisconsin, and that furthers the Arts Board’s community development and arts education goals. The program supports 501(c) 3 nonprofit arts organizations with strong operations – including stable management, ongoing assessment and evaluation, high artistic quality, and programming appropriate to the communities they serve.

The Hardy Gallery stands as a Door County arts community icon, a not-for-profit whose sole purpose is to provide exposure to local artists and support the art of the community, especially within youth education. The $2,300 grant provided by the Wisconsin Arts Board and their continued support ensures the Hardy will continue its services to artists and the community.

The Hardy Gallery doors will open again in May 2017. In the meantime, the Hardy Gallery office will operate through the offseason. For more information, visit thehardy.org or call 920.854.2210.
