Hardy Gallery Releases 2011 Door County Arts Map

The Hardy Gallery announced that the 2011 Door County Arts Map will be available throughout the peninsula by early June.

Like the 2010 Door County Arts Map, the 2011 Arts Map is a sturdy, four-color, foldable map with gallery and studio listings. Seventy-two individual artists, studios, and galleries are presented on the 40,000 printed maps, which will be disseminated to over 200 Door and Kewaunee County locations by The Paper Boy distribution service.

A small listing fee is required of participating artists, with the rest of the map being underwritten by a variety of sponsorships and grant monies. The Door County Arts Map is supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts. Premiere Sponsors include Wisconsin Public Radio, Door Guide Publishing, Newport Resort, White Gull Inn, and Wilson’s Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor. Presenting sponsors include Brown County Graphics, Ephraim Business Council, Ephraim Shores, Main Street Market, and Meissner Landscape, Inc.

2011 Door County Arts Maps will be available at the Hardy Gallery on Ephraim’s historic Anderson Dock, open daily from 10 am – 5 pm, as well as multiple locations around Door and Kewaunee counties. An online version of the 2011 Door County Arts Map is also available online at http://www.thehardy.org.
