Hardy Opens Juried Exhibit with Juror Panel June 16

The Hardy Gallery is pleased to present its 55th Annual Juried Exhibit, June 16 – July 16, featuring a dynamic range of artwork from local and regional artists. Opening reception is June 16 beginning at 5:30 pm. The most notable of the Hardy exhibits, this exhibit features a variety of media: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, ceramics and mixed media. This exhibit offers emerging artists the opportunity to gauge their development and established artists the opportunity to explore new ideas and techniques.

Four jurors were selected to survey the show and judge work based on artistic merit, aesthetics, craftsmanship and originality. Four awards will be announced during the opening reception. Awards include First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and People’s Choice. In addition, each juror will select one work to be awarded a Juror Award for outstanding work, which will be acknowledged at the time of the opening reception.

A panel discussion is scheduled for June 16 at 12 pm at the Hardy Gallery, which allows the jurors to speak in-depth about their process for jurying this exhibit. All jurors artwork will be on display during the duration of the exhibit. The discussion is open to the public.
