Harmony by the Bay Concert Series Features Howard Levy

2012 Grammy winner Howard Levy and special guest blues guitarist and singer/songwriter Chris Siebold take the stage at the Harmony by the Bay Concert Series at Martin Park on July 11 at 7 pm.

Levy is a master of the diatonic harmonica, a pianist, innovative composer, recording artist, bandleader, teacher, producer, and Chicago area resident. His musical travels have taken him all over the geographical world and the musical map.

In 2011, Levy released a classical CD featuring his “Concerto for Diatonic Harmonica and Orchestra,” the first concerto ever composed for the diatonic harmonica. He has performed the piece more than 20 times in the U.S. and Europe.

Siebold has played guitar for 22 years. He draws from a deep well of influences and plays many styles of music from blues, bluegrass to big band jazz. As a freelance guitarist, Siebold plays in many bands including Kick the Cat, Howard Levy’s Acoustic Express, Patricia Barber, and Anne Harris band.

Harmony by the Bay takes place at an outdoor amphitheater located on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Oregon Street in Sturgeon Bay. Food and refreshments will be available, but carry-ins are not allowed. Concerts are free to the public.
