Harvard Case Study Method Presentation

Ryan Hilbert of Sevastopol High School and Troy Pertzborn of Southern Door High School will present a lesson in American political history June 15, 6:30 pm, in Sevastopol Schools’ Pioneer Room. 

The League of Women Voters of Door County sponsored the two educators’ participation in the Case Method Institute for Education and Democracy in 2021, and their presentation will demonstrate the case method teaching strategy that was developed at Harvard Business School and adapted for high school use. Among the benefits of this teaching tool is modeling a way to have debates about political issues while engaging in civil discourse.

The public is invited to learn about this teaching method, which can be especially effective at engaging students in history and democracy topics.
