Harvest Fest in Sturgeon Bay Sept. 20-21

Get into the fall spirit Sept. 20-21 in Sturgeon Bay! Starting Friday at 6 pm, the second annual Classic Car Parade, sponsored by the Old Bolts Car Club, will leave from Tractor Supply on Egg Harbor Road and end at the Lodge at Leathem Smith. At dusk, the City of Sturgeon Bay and the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center (SBVC) will screen Disney’s Hocus Pocus at Martin Park, sponsored by Tadych’s Econo Foods. There will be beverages for all ages, Door County Kettle Corn and s’mores provided by Bayshore Outfitters.

Harvest Fest will kick off Saturday, 9 am, on 3rd Avenue, when artisans, crafters, local businesses, live music and a variety of food and drink offerings will fill the street to create a fun shopping experience. Look for in-store specials as well. Starboard Brewing will hold its annual firkin tapping and stein-holding contest. Professional chalk artists will decorate the streets in front of the Door County Library and Door County Hardware, and all are welcome to participate in the community chalk competition.

The Old Bolts Car Club will host its annual Classic Car Show and award ceremony to benefit Boys & Girls Club of Door County, Door CANcer and Adopt-a-Soldier. Harvest Fest will finish with the 19th annual CHAIRries street-art auction in Martin Park, featuring 25 one-of-a-kind chairs. To see and learn about each chair, visit sturgeonbay.net/gallery/chairries. Absentee bids will be accepted. Download the form at sturgeonbay.net, pick one up at the SBVC, or call 920.743.6246.
