‘Hats are Pure Fun’ Trunk Show at Turtle Ridge

Turtle Ridge Gallery-Boutique will host a Hats Are Pure Fun trunk show Oct. 2-3, 10 am – 5 pm. It will feature work by Kathleen Gaffey, a talented millinery artist who started Brim and Dash following a long love affair with hats. After years of couture sewing for women’s evening wear, one hat class was all it took for Gaffey to become immersed in the art of the hat. 

Attention to colors and textures starts her design process. Then, using only natural fibers, Gaffey hand-sculpts each hat with an eye to detail and fit to give it her signature style. 

Turtle Ridge Gallery (turtleridgegallery.com), 11736 Mink River Road in Ellison Bay, is open daily, 10 am – 5 pm.
