Laurel Hauser, Sturgeon Bay District 7 alderwoman, is hosting listening sessions Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

“There’s lots to talk about and there are exciting opportunities in Sturgeon Bay’s future,” Hauser said. “We’ve been immersed in some turmoil lately, but the positive side of this is that people are engaged, paying attention and thinking about creative solutions and ideas. I’d like to talk with anyone who has questions and concerns or thoughts to share. I’m particularly interested in talking with people who may feel differently than I do about recent events. I’d like to hear varied perspectives.”

The sessions will be held in the Community Room on the main floor of City Hall. The Jan. 31 session runs from 5 – 6:30 pm, and the Feb. 1 session runs from 1 – 2:30 pm.

Hauser has lived in Sturgeon Bay for nearly 20 years and was elected to the City Council in April of 2017. She earlier served on the City Plan Commission. She sits on the Waterfront Redevelopment Authority, the Board of Public Works, the Parks and Recreation Committee and the Library Committee.

Hauser will have coffee and homemade cookies at the sessions to encourage people to stop in. Hauser encourages anyone who is not available during the scheduled times to contact her at 920.493.0572 or [email protected] to set up another time to meet.
