Heller and Soukup Exhibit at Door Peninsula Winery

Dec. 8 marked the opening of a new show at The Gallery at Door Peninsula Winery featuring Elizabeth Heller and Robert Soukup.

A photographer and painter, Heller enjoys plein air painting, but she often interjects her whimsical nature. Viewers will find local Door County landmarks with Van Gogh skies, Door County cows in a Monet field, or a historic Chicago building in a Door County town.

For this show, Heller presents some of her photographs, pastels and oil paintings that highlight themes that have grabbed her attention as she biked, drove and meandered through Door County’s beauty. She is represented locally by Woodwalk Gallery, located on County Road G between the Door Peninsula Winery and Egg Harbor.

The Gallery at Door Peninsula Winery also welcomes Soukup, who is exhibiting a permanent installation entitled “Entwined.” Originally from Door County, Soukup is known for many of his private and public three-dimensional pieces – large-scale paintings, styling and sculptures – that blend rhythmic and meticulous design that’s visually interesting.

The Gallery at Door Peninsula Winery, open daily from 9 am – 5 pm, is located at 5806 Highway 42 in Carlsville. For more information call 920.743.5999.
