Help Advocate for Wisconsin’s Aging Population with the Aging Advocacy Network

Are you interested in issues affecting older adults? Join members of the Wisconsin Aging Advocacy Network (WAAN) and others to help educate state legislators about priority issues that affect Wisconsin’s aging population. This year’s focus issues are Aging and Disability Resource Center reinvestment, family caregiver support, infrastructure expansion and lowering health care costs.

No experience is necessary because you’ll receive training and support during a two-hour, statewide, online session May 10. Then a local host will lead you and other local constituents in short, virtual meetings with your state legislators on May 12.

Your group will present WAAN’s 2021 priorities and share related personal stories and experiences, which help policymakers to understand how policy issues and proposals affect older constituents. Registration is open through April 26. Visit gwaar.org/aging-advocacy-online-2021 to learn more.
