HELP of Door County Introduces New Campaign, Purple Light Nights

HELP of Door County is excited to announce a new campaign for Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. The purpose of this campaign, Purple Light Nights, is to provide a greater awareness of domestic violence issues, while we remember the victims and continue to spread the message that “Domestic Violence Has No Place In Our Community.” The color purple is recognized as the international color symbolic of domestic violence.

To participate in Purple Light Nights, residents and businesses are encouraged to purchase a purple light bulb for $5, available at HELP of Door County. Then shine the purple lights throughout October.

The simple idea of shining a purple light on every porch, in every window and at every business, will help us: remember the victims of domestic violence; support the survivors as they rebuild their lives; and give hope to those still living with abuse. For information on how to purchase a purple light, call 920.743.8785 or email [email protected].
