Heritage Village at Crossroads Holds Gospel Sing

The Door County Historical Society’s Sept. 13 program at the Heritage Village at Big Creek features a Gospel Sing with the music of Pamela Parks and Dan Phillips in the Village Chapel at 2 pm.

The gospel music experience cannot be told in a short story, or even in a melody of songs, for it is far too rich, far too harmonious and deliberately stimulating. It is a living experience, always changing, always giving, and always becoming the foundation that gave moral, physical and spiritual support to a great and powerful people.

Dan and Pamela are a father/daughter duo from Brussels who also perform in their band, Parks, Phillips and Co. They have sung together for more than 30 years. The concert will feature old hymns from the same era as the chapel as well as country gospel favorites and a song or two from their band’s newest CD, The Journey on My Mind.

This program does not have an admission fee, but an offering will be taken to support the chinking of the Schopf House. For more information, call 920.421.2332 or email [email protected]
