Heroin Summit to Detail Prevention, Education, Enforcement

The Door County Alcohol & Other Drug Coalition will host a heroin summit on Nov. 5, 6-8 pm, at the Sturgeon Bay High School Auditorium. This informational summit on heroin and our community will focus on the triangular approach to prevention, education and enforcement. WBAY news anchor Sara Thompson will share what she is seeing. Also speaking at the summit is a woman who lost her daughter to this epidemic, and Jon Gilson from the Sheriff’s Department, who will speak about how heroin affects the body.
