Hey Hey 5k Price Increases Aug. 1

Registration fees for the second annual Hey Hey 5k in Baileys Harbor go up $5 on Aug. 1. Join the fun for Door County’s best new 5k run Sept. 24 in Baileys Harbor, presented by Door County Brewing Co.

Runners get a race shirt, free Hey Hey 5k pint glass and the first fill in the glass free from Door County Brewing Co. as they celebrate at the finish in the taproom.

“It’s a great time and excuse to check out the scene in Baileys Harbor,” says race director Myles Dannhausen Jr. “It’s a small race with all the perks of a big one, with chip timing, great shirts, free beer in your own pint glass, and a finish at one of the great new additions to the Door County scene at Door County Brewing Co. Sounds like a great fall Saturday!”

The Hey Hey 5k is named for one of the favorite sayings of Baileys Harbor icon Freddie Kodanko, the late Polka King who also inspired the name of one of Door County Brewing Co.’s signature beers, the Polka King Porter.

After the race, hang out at the taproom, or head down the street to enjoy food, a classic auto and motorcycle show, live music and more at Baileys Harbor’s Autumnfest.
