High Recognitions for Door County Medical Center

Door County Medical Center (DCMC) has earned a five-star rating for Overall Hospital Quality from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). As the highest rating possible, it places DCMC in the top 14% of hospitals in the country and the top 18% of hospitals in the state. DCMC is one of 24 hospitals in Wisconsin and one of 429 in the nation to achieve this rating.

In addition to the CMS rating, DCMC has earned the 2022 College of Healthcare Information Management Executives’ Digital Health Most Wired status through a program that conducts an annual survey to assess how effectively health care organizations apply core and advanced technologies to their clinical and business programs to improve health and care in their communities.

Fewer than 1.5% of represented organizations achieved Most Wired status in the 2022 program, which includes surveys of acute, international acute, ambulatory and long-term care.
