High School Golf Wrap-Up

The golf season is just underway for most of us. Yet, the Packerland Conference high school golf season came to a close Tuesday, May 4 at its final 18-hole conference championship at Northbrook Country Club in Luxemburg. The Sevastopol Pioneers cruised to a comfortable victory, capturing its second conference title in the last three years.

 

 

Pioneer Rob Leist earned the tournament’s medalist honors with a score of 75 and was named conference player of the year based on a season long point system. Ben Ehlers, in the Pioneers number two spot, contributed to his team score of 339 with a solid individual score of 83. Both Sturgeon Bay and Gibraltar finished 23 strokes behind the Pioneers (362) with Sturgeon Bay capturing second-place in a card playoff. Oconto finished fourth (368) while Southern Door trailed in fifth (375).

 

 

It was a tightly contested month-long season with Sevastopol, Sturgeon Bay, Southern Door and Gibraltar all winning at least one conference tournament. Team and individual performance is based on a season long point system and the results are listed below.
