Local High School Teams Advance in WIAA Playoffs

Southern Door heads to the Softball Regional final after beating Kewaunee Tuesday. Sturgeon Bay, Southern Door, Sevastopol, and Kewaunee all advanced in WIAA baseball action Tuesday, while top-seeded Gibraltar’s season came to an end.

In high school golf at Glacier Woods Golf Club, Pacelli and Coleman advanced to state with scores of 382 and 385, while the Sevastopol team finished sixth with a score of 418.

In individual competition, Jacob Welsing of Sevastopol finished tied for 11th with a score of 93, while Nathan Surges of Gibraltar finished 19th with a score of 99.

At the Butt des Morts Country Club, Sturgeon Bay’s Brandon Forbes finished 31st with a score of 87.
