Hike at Peninsula State Park

Join a Peninsula State Park naturalist for a hike along Skyline Trail on April 27, 10 to 11:30 am. Leatherleaf, a pretty shrub with yellow blossoms, should be blooming; migrating shorebirds may be visible at the outset; then it’s into the woods for a walk past the historic girls-camp site and up to Sven’s Bluff. Meet at Skyline parking lot.

The program is free and open to the public, but a state-park vehicle sticker is required. This hike counts toward Peninsula State Park’s custom Like To Hike program: Participate in five or more outdoor, sustainable recreation activities to be eligible to purchase a pin for $3. Commemorative pins are also available for $6 for nonparticipants. This year’s pin features the federally endangered rusty patched bumble bee.
