Hike This: What a View!

Hiking the Legacy Preserve at Clay Banks

The most spectacular view along this one-mile trail greets you right at the beginning, and it has everything you’d want to see during a great hike: a panoramic view atop a bluff, a dense cedar forest and the vast expanse of Lake Michigan laid out before you. Experiencing wide, open spaces are the best way to break free from winter’s claustrophobia, and this trail has them in spades.

The paths are natural and narrow, but a breeze to walk on. Photo by Andrew Kleidon.
