Hikes at The Clearing

The Clearing Folk School will once again offer free, docent-led hiking tours on its 128-acre property, visiting the historic buildings and campus. The roughly two-hour hikes begin at 1 pm on most Saturdays and Sundays starting May 5, and they’ll run through the end of October.

No pre-registration is necessary. Hikers should meet at The Clearing’s Jens Jensen Visitor Center, 12171 Garrett Bay Road in Ellison Bay. Maps are also available for self-guided tours during weekend open-house hours, 12-4 pm. The trail terrain is rugged in places, so sturdy walking shoes are highly recommended.
