Hillside Inn Now Hosts Art Shows

The newly re-opened Hillside Inn of Ephraim is happy to announce it will host several informal art shows for talented local artists this season. June’s featured artist is Carol Schalla.

Schalla works in pastels, rendering softly interpreted landscapes, still life and animal studies. She recently retired from a full-time editing career at Midwest Living and is now a full-time resident of the county. She is excited to have time to be pursuing her painting passion, and is constantly inspired by all the beauty that surrounds her on the peninsula.

Artists planned for upcoming months include Barbara Timmerman in July, Dorothy McDowell in August, and Nancy Sargent in September.

Come visit the Hillside this month, open daily between 10 am and 3 pm, to see Schalla’s pastels, and to get an inside look at this newly re-opened inn. The Hillside Inn of Ephraim is located at 9980 Water Street, overlooking Eagle Harbor. For more information, visit hillsideofdoorcounty.com, call 920.854.7666, or email [email protected].
