Historical Museum Presents A Door County Winter Exhibit

The Door County Historical Museum is sharing A Door County Winter: a new display in the windows of its display annex in the former Younkers Home Store on the corner of 4th Avenue and Louisiana Street in Sturgeon Bay.

The display includes vintage winter outerwear, furs and hats that bring to life the cold-weather styles of yesteryear. Historical photographs of ice fishing and winter sports illustrate Door County’s enduring connection with the frozen months, and other display highlights include ice skates, sleds and a 10-foot toboggan.

This display – open until early April – is the third to be featured in the annex. The next display, opening in May, will focus on summer recreation
