Historical Society Focuses on Waniger School Restoration

The Door County Historical Society hosts its monthly dinner program meeting on the restoration of Southern Door’s Waniger School by Judy Jesse on May 19 at 6 pm at Marnie’s Restaurant (formerly Coun’s C Supper Club) in Brussels. Come join Jesse at Waniger School (at the southwest corner of Southern Door Schools) from 4-5:30 pm for a tour of the school, to step back in time, to reminisce, share stories and ring the school bell. Then head over to Marnie’s at 6 pm for a dinner of chicken, Belgian trippe, mashed potatoes, gravy, Jell-O salad, tossed salad, desert and coffee. Jesse’s presentation will follow dinner at 6:45 pm.
The member dinner cost is $20 and the guest fee is $24. Guests may attend the presentation for a $6 fee. Reservations are due by May 15, by mailing payment to Door County Historical Society, PO Box 71, Sturgeon Bay WI 54235. For more information call 920.431.2332.
