History Days at the Belgian Heritage Center

The Belgian Heritage Center will host a special presentation by Barb (Englebert) Chisholm on June 22, 1 pm, about the history of Belgian immigration to northeastern Wisconsin, the Belgian settlements, the true story behind the unusual arrangement of the headstones at the St. Mary of the Snows cemetery, the impact of the Great Fire of 1871 and Belgian culture today. A guided tour of the campus will follow the program to lead participants through the center’s exhibits, the restored 1894 school/convent and the roadside chapel of St. Roch.
