“History of Whitetails Unlimited” at Crossroads

The Door County Historical Society (DCHS) will host – and Russ Austad will present – the yesteryear program “The History of Whitetails Unlimited” on Oct. 5, 1 pm, in the Collins Learning Center at Crossroads at Big Creek.

Austad will discuss Whitetails Unlimited’s mission, initiatives and projects and chronicle its rise from humble beginnings to the multi-million-dollar organization it is today. A native of Sturgeon Bay, Austad is Whitetails Unlimited’s program services director, overseeing its grant applications and growing its mission.

This program is free, but donations are appreciated. The Heritage Village and Collins Learning Center are located at 2041 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay. The Heritage Village will be open for self-guided tours, 10 am – 3 pm. The adult admission fee is $6.50; a donation for youth admission is appreciated.
