Hobnob with the Hobbits at Miller Art Museum’s Newest Fundraiser

The Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay is hosting Hobnob with the Hobbits: a new, not-to-be missed, hobbit-themed fundraiser at the peninsula’s iconic Dome House on Sept. 30, 5-8 pm. Coinciding with International Hobbit Day, it will feature hearty, hobbit-inspired fare; a silent auction; medieval-inspired music; costumed entertainers in an idyllic setting; a live auction; and a memorable fire-dancer performance. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

“The museum’s annual summer Art & Treasures Sale has been an important income pillar for the past 14 years and, in part, has enabled the organization to maintain strong core programming,” said Executive Director Elizabeth Meissner-Gigstead, “but as we envision the 21st-century Miller Art Museum, we have growing programming needs. I’m pleased to share that a $5,000 incentive gift will be awarded to the museum if we’re able to meet our $20,000 fundraising goal. We’re grateful to this donor as well as to the Quinlan family and our exceptional Door County business community for enthusiastically supporting our fundraising needs.”

Purchase tickets ($125 per person) online through Eventbrite or the link at millerartmuseum.org. A free trolley will transport guests to and from the event due to a lack of parking.
