Holiday Cheer in Sturgeon Bay

The holiday lights are twinkling in Sturgeon Bay; the snow is glistening; and the annual Christmas by the Bay holiday parade kicked off the city’s celebrations. 

The 2019 award-winning parade floats were Sunrise Elementary School for Best Nonprofit Entry, JMS Towing for Best Business Entry and the Sturgeon Bay High School Band for Best Holiday Spirit.

Winners of the 2019 holiday window-decorating contest among Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center (SBVC) member businesses were Wilkins & Olander in first place, Madison Avenue Market as the second-place winner and Novel Bay Booksellers in third place.

The SBVC has also been spreading holiday cheer through the Moo-La-La Giveaway. On Dec. 13, lucky winner Cindy Florian of Sturgeon Bay was chosen to receive $1,000 in Moo-La-La gift certificates to spend at any of the 24 participating businesses. Thanks to those businesses, Christmas came a little early for Florian. A few gift certificates from the daily Moo-La-La prize drawings are still awaiting pick-up.
