Holiday Donation Drive in Kewaunee

The Giving for Sara Food and Hygiene Drive, organized by Kewaunee County Public Health and Human Services, is in its 10th year of collecting donations of healthful, nonperishable foods and personal-hygiene products, as well as monetary funds. The donations help to stock the shelves at area food pantries and assist community members in need.

Donations are being accepted through Dec. 31 at the Kewaunee County Health and Human Services building, 810 Lincoln St. in Kewaunee. Check the “Best used by” dates on canned goods because expired items cannot be accepted.

Mail checks for monetary donations (payable to “Kewaunee County,” with a memo of “Giving for Sara Food and Hygiene Drive”) to the address above. Receipts will be available.

This effort honors the memory of Sara Malay, who died unexpectedly in October 2013 while serving as the aging services unit director for Kewaunee County.
