Holiday Gift Ideas at Door County’s Jacksonport Craft Cottage

Currently, the Jacksonport Craft Cottage (JCC) is highlighting the work of Barb Bicker from Fish Creek, who handcrafts Christmas ornaments.

Bicker has had several beneficiaries for her ornament sales. In 2005 she decided to sew as a benefit to the Fish Creek Library. After seeing a questionnaire asking what improvements could or should be made if $10,000 suddenly became available to the library, she decided to see how much she could raise. At the end of this year, if ornaments continue to sell, Bicker will have reached her goal of $10,000.

Bicker has created many unique designs and intricately finishes each piece with detail. She will continue to create new ornaments, including a ‘Fat Cat’ ornament.

The JCC showcases many local craftsmen and offers a variety of handcrafted gifts in fiber, wood, and glass. There are many holiday gift ideas under $10. There are also many holiday ornaments that can be personalized.

The JCC, now in winter hours, is open 9 am – 5 pm, Friday through Sunday; however, the store will be open the entire week between Christmas and New Years from 9 am – 5 pm daily.
