Holiday Handmade Gifts Available at JCC

Jacksonport Craft Cottage Gifts now offers appliqued specialty items by Marilyn Horn. All of Horn’s products are hand-stitched, appliquéd items from her original designs. The items are made from hand-dyed and felted wool fabrics, and embellished with beads and embroidery stitches using Valdani thread.

Horn recently completed a new selection of candle mats. Her current designs include the ever-popular “Door County cherries,” pumpkins and autumn leaves. In addition to the candle mats, these designs are also featured on mini decorative pillows.

The pillows and mats are available in limited quantities.

Wooden puzzles have also arrived at the Craft Cottage in time for the holiday season. The puzzles are made in the United States from recycled cardboard and soy-based ink. The designs are licensed artwork that feature birds, winter scenes, quilt designs and Door County lighthouses.
