Holiday Shop to Open at Miller Art Museum

On Nov. 14, the Miller Art Museum in downtown Sturgeon Bay will open its annual Holiday Pop-up Shop with an open house from 1 – 3 pm. The event is free and open to the public with all ages welcome. Refreshments will be served.

The Miller’s annual Holiday Pop-Up Shop is an expansion of the museum store and a fundraiser for the nonprofit organization that features one-of-a-kind locally made goods from finely crafted jewelry, pottery, sculpture, specialty holiday cards and giftwrap, an array of impressive adult coloring books, children’s mittens, hand-painted ornaments, art books, original art, unique gift items and much more. Patrons will enjoy a free print with a purchase of $25 or more during the open house only, which runs from 1 – 3 pm.

Beyond the featured open house to kick off this year’s Holiday Pop-Up Shop, there will be family friendly activities including a book signing and discussion with two Door County authors: Mary Ellen Sisulak and Jill Harding along with a scavenger hunt in conjunction with the museum’s current exhibit, Parks of Door County.

“The event will be fun for the entire family – it’s a perfect pairing of activities and will be a fun kick-off to the holiday season,” said Elizabeth Meissner-Gigstead, executive director. “And what better way to shop than to do so locally by supporting the museum and our local artisans, continuing the cycle of building community.”

All proceeds from the Holiday Pop-up Shop go directly to support museum programs and operations.

The Holiday Pop Shop will be open Nov. 7 – Dec. 30, 10 am – 8 pm Monday, 10 am – 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday. Miller Art Museum is located at 107 S. 4th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay. For more information, call 920.746.0707 or go to millerartmuseum.org.
