Hope Art Alcoves Gallery Reopens

The walls of the Hope United Church of Christ’s gallery space, Hope Art Alcoves Gallery, have been empty for a while, but the space is coming back to life Oct. 14, 5:30-6:30 pm, with an exhibit featuring the work of Door County artist Kari Anderson.

Church member Mark Jinkins, resuming his role as curator, will host an artist talk at 6 pm, when Anderson will discuss her art and her life as an artist. Light refreshments will be served. Anderson will add to and change the exhibited works occasionally before the show closes Nov. 20, and she will also be in attendance when the exhibit is open during the Sturgeon Bay Art Crawl in November.

Upcoming Hope Art Alcoves Gallery exhibits include photography by Dennis Connolly, art from Door County high schools, and works from the Sturgeon Bay school system and art teachers.

If you are – or know – an artist who would be interested in showing work in the gallery, call Jinkins at 920.493.8000.
