Hope Art Alcoves Showcases Works by Beverly Hart Branson

The Art Alcoves gallery of Sturgeon Bay’s Hope United Church of Christ will feature works by mixed-media artist Beverly Hart Branson Feb. 6 – March 11.

The lifetime artist works in watercolor, ink, acrylic, oil and pencil. She enjoys plein air painting and creating imaginative, fanciful birds, creatures, flowers and scenes on paper, fabric and wood.

“On my journey as a pilgrim, I create visual reminders of my fleeting glimpses of infinite beauty in nature and the spheres,” she said.

Branson shows her work throughout the Midwest; it’s on display locally in the Fish Creek Bookshop and Gallery and her own Treetop Studio; and she’s represented in private collections in Spain, Australia and throughout the United States. She has donated her art to benefit many community causes, including the Fairfield Center, Miller Art Museum, Peninsula School of Art and United Way.

The Art Alcoves gallery at Hope United Church of Christ, 141 S. 12th St. in Sturgeon Bay, is open 9 am – 1 pm, Monday through Friday. To learn more or to arrange a private showing, contact Hope Church at 920.743.2701 or [email protected].
