Hope Beyond the Hurt Conference at Stone Harbor

Community members and service providers are invited to Hope Beyond the Hurt: A Trauma Informed Care and Resilience Conference to learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), the impact of trauma, community resources and resilience practices. The conference will be held Aug. 14, 9 am – 4 pm, at Sturgeon Bay’s Stone Harbor Resort.

An ACE is a traumatic experience in a person’s life before age 18. High numbers of ACEs tend to negatively affect mental, physical and socioeconomic well-being. According to data from 2011-15, 57 percent of Wisconsin adults have experienced at least one ACE; 14 percent have experienced four or more.

Early-bird registration, through June 15, costs $25 per person. Registration between June 16 and July 25 costs $30 per person. To register and learn more about the speakers and breakout sessions, visit hopebeyondthehurt.wixsite.com/conference.
