Hope United Church Presents Free Concert Series

Pianist and local favorite David Beck will be the featured artist for the 2010 Summer Concert Series at Hope United Church of Christ. The public is invited to attend this free concert series taking place on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm. The schedule includes:

June 23: Beethoven – A Life of Music in Chronological Order.

June 30: Children – Fun pieces by familiar composers, including Mozart, Guaraldi, and Joplin.

July 7: Patriotic – American music featuring songs by Gershwin, Grottschalle, and Sousa.

July 14: Mendelssohn – Music by the virtuosic composer for piano, voice, and violin featuring soprano Lauren Gilmore and violinist Beth Chafey-Hon.

July 21: French – Chanson, opera, and impressionist piano music featuring the works of such composers Debussy and Bizet.

David Beck graduated from St. Norbert College with a degree in Piano Performance. He serves as the organist at the Hope United Church of Christ in Sturgeon Bay, as well as the accompanist for Gibraltar and Oconto Falls High Schools, a private piano teacher, and a concert performer.
