Hope United Church to Host “Blue Christmas”

Hope United Church of Christ will host a “Blue Christmas” service on Dec. 20 at 5 pm. Knowing that Christmas is not always the “merriest” time of year for many people, Hope Church is adding a worship service this year that aims at acknowledging these feelings. On “Blue Christmas,” there will be a gathering for a short worship and a time to be with others in a spirit of compassion. The service is for people who have had a recent loss, struggle with the high expectations of Christmas, or have difficulty with Christmas in any way.
