Horseshoe Bay Hosts First Annual Jim Larsen Boys & Girls Club Outing

Over one hundred golfers participated in the first annual Jim Larsen Boys and Girls Club Celebrity Outing held at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club on Monday, Jun 14. Participants were able to spend the day and play with such celebrities as Drew Smith (WLUK Sports Director), Chris Greisen (quarterback of the Milwaukee Iron), Joel Pryzilla (from the Portland Trail Blazers), and Randy Wright (former Green Bay Packer quarterback).

The Jim Olson Motors team came into the clubhouse with a winning score of 58, comprising of the foursome of Jim Olson, Bobby Boettcher, Mike Woldt and Jason Summers. Second place honors went to the “Green Bay Golf Nuts” with a score of 61. The team consisted of Steve Lowery, Mark Luther, Larry Wilke, and Dennis Wolfgramm. With a score of 62, team Ladder House (Mark Hill, Ken Warren, Mary Aiken, and Scott Brunswick) came in third.

Individual Event Winners: Closest to the Pin: #3 – Jeff Peterson, #5 – Chris Greisen, #15 – Jim Bashleben, #17 – Mark Luther. Longest Drive (Women #8) – Mary Aiken. Longest Drive (Men #10) – John Childress.

According to Dave Resch, co-chairman of the Boys and Girls Club, the event was a huge success. The date for the 2nd Annual Celebrity Golf Outing is set for Monday, June 13, 2010.
