COVID-19 Booster, Kid’s Vaccine Updates

COVID-19 vaccination clinics for kids age 5-11 continue this week. One Wednesday and Friday Door County Public Health is offering a clinic for second doses at the Aging and Disability Resource Center in Sturgeon Bay. Those are available by appointment from 3-6 pm Wednesday and 4-6 pm Friday.

On Thursday Public Health will offer a vaccine clinic for kids age 5-11 on Washington Island from 11 am – 12:30 pm. Those are available by appointment only.

Next week Public Health will offer vaccinations for kids age 5-11 from 2:30 – 5:30 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the Sister Bay Fire Station. Those vaccines are available by appointment only.

On Thursday, Dec. 9, Public Health offers COVID-19 vaccines for those age 12 and up and flu shots for those age 4 and up in the Peninsula Room at the Door County Government Center in Sturgeon Bay. Those are available from 11 am – 4 pm.

Door County Medical Center Offering Moderna Boosters

Door County Medical Center released an update that it is administrating only Moderna COVID-19 boosters at this time.

The COVID-19 vaccine boosters are interchangeable. Anyone over the age of 18 who has completed their primary series of Moderna or Pfizer at least 6 months ago can receive a Moderna booster.

Anyone who had one Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago may receive a booster dose.  All boosters are interchangeable, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends staying with the same brand as original doses. Those getting booster doses should bring their vaccination card (virtual cards are accepted) and your insurance card.

Fish Creek Clinic Hosts Pediatric Covid-19 vaccination clinics

DCMC’s Fish Creek clinic will host pediatric vaccination clinics by appointment only during the following dates/times:

Tuesday, Dec. 14, 4-6 pm

Thursday, Dec. 16, 4-6 pm

The Pediatric vaccination clinics will offer first doses of the pediatric Pfizer Covid vaccines to children 5-17 years old. Clinic staff will not administer adult boosters during these Pediatric vaccination clinics. Call 920.868.3511 to schedule an appointment.
