Hospital Offers Moderna Booster Clinics

Door County Medical Center (DCMC) is offering Moderna COVID-19 booster vaccination clinics in November. The COVID-19 vaccine boosters are interchangeable.  Patients may get a Moderna booster if they completed their primary series of Moderna or Pfizer at least 6 months ago, along with the following requirements:

  • 65 years of age or older
  • 18 years of age and older and live in a long term care facility
  • 18 years of age and older with an underlying medical condition
  • Have an occupational exposure risk

If you had one Janssen (Johnson&Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago, you may receive a booster dose.

Moderna COVID-19 Booster Vaccination Clinics are being planned for Nov. 5 from 8 am – 1 pm; Nov. 8 from 8:30 am to 4 pm; and Nov. 9 from 8 am to 4 pm.

All booster clinics will be held in the Sheldon Room of DCMC’s main Sturgeon Bay campus, to the right of the Emergency Room reception. All boosters are interchangeable but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends staying with the same brand as original doses. Please bring your vaccination card (virtual cards are accepted) and your insurance card.  This clinic will only be for Moderna Boosters and not include 1st or 2nd doses.

Patients are asked to schedule their booster vaccination appointment through the DCMC Patient Portal at www.dcmedical.org/covid19. If you do not have a DCMC Patient Portal account, you may call the hospital’s COVID-19 hotline at 920.746.3700.
