House and Garden Walk Raised Almost $50,000 in 2019

At the Door County Medical Center (DCMC) Auxiliary’s recent fall luncheon and general meeting, the nearly 100 members in attendance  heard updates about the medical center’s 75-year anniversary, the upcoming Angel Ball fundraiser, and the House and Garden Walk.

The Angel Ball will be held Dec. 7. Last year it raised more than $45,000 for scholarships for Door County high school graduates and current DCMC employees who are pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in health care.

The 2019 House and Garden Walk raised almost $50,000 for the Skilled Nursing and Hospice Care Facility. The 100+ Women Who Care organization also awarded the auxiliary $10,000, which has been earmarked for the DCMC Dental Clinic, which provides free dental services to financially disadvantaged children and adults.  The auxiliary is always seeking new members.
