Len’s Pic of the Week: Ice Ice Baby

We’ve all heard the saying about sitting around and watching the grass grow. Here in Door County we sit around and watch the ice grow (and eventually break up into ice shoves). Because once the ice is thick enough, it opens up all kinds of possibilities for winter fun: ice fishing, skating, hockey, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, fat biking and more. For my pic of the week I wanted to try and show the ice-over in one photo, a double exposure of sorts. The right side of the image is from a week ago and the left side is exactly the same place now. You can see the buildup of ice on the left as opposed to the open water on the right. Let the winter fun begin!
