Husby’s to Host Third Annual Bar Wars

Bartenders from bars all over Door County will compete in the third annual Bar Wars at Husby’s on Monday, April 29, 6-9 pm. Chris Janisse has organized the fundraiser, which will pit 10 two-person teams against each other. The teams pay to compete, and all of the funds raised will go to the Door County Veterans’ Service Council. The public is invited to witness the three-stage competition: an obstacle course (arguably the most entertaining); a written test on beer, wine and spirits knowledge; and finally, a cocktail-mixing challenge. Live music by Frank Maloney and His Big Country Unit will follow the competition. To further the fundraising, Husby’s will be serving a specialty cocktail using Central Standard Vodka, donating $1 for every drink sold; and running a 50/50 raffle. Husby’s will also serve a free appetizer buffet.
