Husky Undertones

Woodwalk Concert Series welcomes back Krista Detor for her Door County CD release of Flat Earth Diary on Aug. 8 at 7 pm. Her book Flat Earth Diary: Notes From the Bridge will also be available.

Detor is known for her velvet, alto voice with husky undertones. She accompanies herself with eloquent piano and accordion and is joined by Dave Weber on guitar and Mike Lindauer on bass. Her lyrical songwriting backed by gorgeous melodic composition, illuminate situations with a depth of understanding, reverence for the human condition and a wonderfully irreverent sense of humor.

Detor’s solo albums have reached national and international prominence, including number one on the Euro-Americana Chart, and placement within the top 10 of the U.S. folk and independent music charts.

Come as early as 5:30 pm and bring a picnic and or a bottle of wine. Beer, snacks and cupcakes from Cupcake Heaven will be for sale. The next show in the series is Chicago folk band Sons Of The Never Wrong on Aug. 1. Tickets are $18 at the door. Call 920.868.2912 or 920.495.2928 for ticket reservations.
